About Scott

Hello and thanks for taking a minute or two of your time to find out who I am and what I am all about!
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and grew up in the section of town called Oak Cliff. Anyone who knows Dallas might think of Oak Cliff as one of the poorer parts of town, but it’s actually the nicest part of Dallas geographically with it’s many trees and rolling hills. Besides spawning some of the best guitarists in Texas, such as Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan, Oak Cliff is also historically remembered as the place where Lee Harvey Oswald lived and was captured the day of the JFK Assassination on November 22, 1963. I was in the sixth grade that fateful day in an Oak Cliff elementary school and remember how horrified I was that something that tragic had occurred so close to home, in my home town.
The JFK Assassination in Dallas left a huge hole in the soul of America. I think this is why when The Beatles came to the U.S. in early 1964, there was such a “mania” that developed and why they, along with many other musical groups from the “British Invasion,” became so incredibly popular. They helped fill this gaping hole in America’s collective soul. The resulting distrust and disconnection from our social “establishment” by the country’s youth after Kennedy’s death led to the embrace of the “rebellious, long-haired” musicians from Great Britain. I personally experienced this also, I quit playing school football in 1965 and took up the electric guitar instead. (I was never any good at football anyway … to have girls like you, you either played football or you were a musician, I chose the latter.)
Choosing the guitar turned out to be the better choice … later while attending Kimball High School in Oak Cliff, I had the good fortune of meeting then 16 year old Stevie Ray Vaughan and forming a ten piece band, including a 4 part horn section, called “Liberation.” We played music in the same genre as “Chicago Transit Authority” (later shortened to just “Chicago”) and “Blood Sweat and Tears.” We were a very popular band locally in Dallas and played many “gigs” during the years 1969 and 1970. We even shared a stage one night with a young unknown band named ZZ Top. We actually got paid that night and ZZ Top played for just the exposure … believe that?! … it’s true! Liberation was to be short-lived, however. Unfortunately, the crazy logistics of a ten piece band coupled with trying to get ten musicians to all agree on the same thing at the same time, caused the band to break up in early 1971. Stevie went on to Austin in 1972 and became hugely successful with the band Double Trouble as one of the world’s greatest blues guitarists until his tragic death in a helicopter accident in August of 1990.
After graduating high school in 1970, I spent four years attending various colleges and junior colleges trying to find my direction in life. When nothing I did seemed to be the right path for me, I enlisted in the US Navy in 1974 and was trained and served as a communications electronics technician in the nuclear submarine service at Pearl Harbor until 1977. Serving on a nuclear fast attack sub gave me the direction, education, life experience and self discipline skills I still use today in my life.
After leaving the Navy in 1977, I went back to school and received my Bachelor’s Degree in EE Technology from DeVry University in 1981. I went to work in the computer field and worked in everything from stock market services to installing and maintaining computer systems for American Airlines SABRE Reservations group.
I left American Airlines and Dallas in 1995 and moved to Austin where I married my wife Jane in 1996. I was also intent on starting my own IT Consulting business in Austin. After attaining my Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certifications in 1998, I started my company, Computer and Network Services that year and still service two loyal client accounts today that I have had since 1998. So if any of you internet marketers have problems with your computer or internet networking, I am also the guy who can help you resolve your technical issues.
After working my own consulting company for several years, I discovered I was still trading hours for dollars, even though it was my own business. It was at this point that I started seriously looking at home and online businesses and internet marketing.
Today, some two years and several thousand dollars later, I have been able to find success from finding the right mentoring. Additionally, I have also learned, acquired and implemented the skills necessary to become successful with Internet Marketing. I have found that personal development and personal growth go hand in hand with this business and that more success, both financially and spiritually, always results from more personal growth.
It is now one of my passions, besides guitar playing, to pass along the mantra of all that I have been blessed with, all the knowledge and skills I have acquired in my internet marketing career, to other people also looking to achieve true success in life, both financially and spiritually. I have to say that this has been the best and most rewarding experience of my life … and that I am still continuing to learn and grow myself every new day. I now truly understand the saying that “Success is a Journey, not a Destination.” I have firmly embraced the “abundance mindset” and continue each day to pursue new goals and dreams.
I continue my love affair with playing the guitar, specifically blues, R&B, and classic rock and roll. Stevie Ray Vaughan had a huge influence on my own playing, even from knowing him and playing with him those many years ago. I now play lead guitar in the Austin band “The Travis Kings.” We’re mainly weekend warriors, but we still love playing and have a heck of a lot of fun doing it. Our singer, Cary Blades, even does one heck of an Elvis Tribute … when we can talk him into putting on the white satin “Elvis Jumpsuit.” (see video below)
My wife Jane and I live in Cedar Park, a NW suburb of Austin, Texas. We have one grown son Patrick who is 25, and two 20 year old daughters, Julie and Katie, who attend different Texas colleges. We also enjoy the company of our three cats and my collection of nine guitars.

My girlfriend saw your site while looking for the MLM mastermind web site.
As a new be in the network marketing industry, I have a long ways to go,

According to your bio, you appear to be my age.
